Boswell And Associates Wounded Warior Project

   Boswell & Associates, in conjunction with MB Motorsports and SealWrap, is raising money and awareness for Operation Homefront.  Look for the Operation Homefront logo on the #63 SealWrap Ford in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at races at Atlanta Motor Speedway (9/2), Chicagoland Speedway (9/16/11), Talladega Motor Speedway (10/22) and Texas Motor Speedway (11/4).  The team will be hosting eight servicemen and women at each of the races, giving them a chance to experience racing from the garage area and in the pits.  You can make an easy $5 donation to Operation Homefront by texting HERO to 50555.  SealWrap is matching all texted donations up to $10,000.  You can also visit www.operationhomefront.net to find your local chapter for additional donations or to volunteer.

Operation Homefront provides direct services to alleviate a military family’s or individual’s actual/complete emergency financial burden, as well as counseling and/or recovery support. Emergency financial assistance is in the form of checks paid directly to mortgage lenders, auto mechanics, contractors, hospitals, doctors, dentists and other providers. Other emergency funding assistance, which an applicant receives within 24 to 72 hours, includes the following: 

  • Financial assistance 
  • Emergency food 
  • Emergency home repairs 
  • Critical baby items: formula, food and diapers 
  • Home and appliance repair 
  • Furniture and household items 
  • Local moving assistance 
  • Community events
  • Wounded Warrior Transitional Family Housing

   Based in Jacksonville, the Wounded Warrior Project began when several individuals took small, inspired actions to help others in need.  A group of veterans and brothers were moved by the difficult stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq. They realized then and there that something needed to be done for these brave individuals beyond the brass bands and ticker tape parades.

   The resulting objective was to provide tangible support for the severely wounded and help them on the road to healing, both physically and mentally. What had been initially viewed as a small contribution (compared with what the warriors had sacrificed while serving our country) has become WWP's signature program: "WWP backpacks delivered bedside to wounded warriors."
